What I bring

Teachers leave the APSI with the foundational knowledge necessary to begin teaching the course.

Performance Task Coaching

Concrete ways to teach the Individual Research Report, Team Multimedia Presentation, Individual Written Argument, Individual Multimedia Presentation, and End-of-Course Exam so students build the skills needed to be successful in the course and beyond.

Scoring Calibration

I run the same calibration work I lead at the Reading. Participants score real student samples, compare their reasoning, and learn to explain a score with evidence from the rubric.

Support for New Teachers

I can anticipate the kinds of questions that participants will have and the types of resources they will need to get started planning the course. I have compiled a comprehensive list of resources to which participants will have access even when the APSI is over.

Personalization

I work one-on-one with participants during planning time to help them make sure that their course will be designed to best suit their particular group of students.
